Drive – Pondicherry is the city, I have liked the most since my childhood. There are so many reasons attached to it. This place is connected via OMR from Chennai which is perfect to go on a long drive to beat melancholy and as the boundaries beyond the other side of the road is filled with sea waters, it is rally refreshing when you drive on this road to reach Pondicherry in the early morning or in the evening. The very thought itself is mesmerizing as you would feel yourself submerged in the sheer beauty of the nature. When you have a perfect vehicle like a TATA Safari or TATA Indigo or TATA Bolt/Zest, the drive becomes even more pleasant as you also get to enjoy the comfort/convenience inside it.
So the roads which connects Pondicherry with Chennai and the roads that are laid within the city is a boon for those who would love to drive. Needless to say, if you are traveling with your friends, the fun is at its peak.
Design – The French Architecture is something which is unique to this city and brings more beauty and charm to this silent city. There are lot of places one can visit here which includes Manakula Vinayakar Temple, Aurobindo Ashram and Auroville apart from the beaches. The roads are neatly tarred and when ever I had visited this place, I ha hardly seen any potholes on the roads. The cleanliness which is being maintained here is something I admire the most. This is because I had seen no litters in any of the roads which is a healthy sign or a better environment and unless there are heavy rains, I don’t think the roads will be clogged as there is no hindrance for the rain water to drain out.
Connect – Pondicherry connects the old tradition of French Architecture Marvel with the recent buildings as you can see hot of hotel and restaurants along with renowned jewelry and textile brand showrooms. This place offers food which is unique to it but also caters to the needs of those who would prefer western and continental cuisine.
On one hand, you get to set mesmerized by Auroville and Aurobindo Ashram where meditation plays the key role and on the other hand those who love fun can enjoy themselves in the pubs as this place is known for the availability of variety of liquor.
The entertainment quotient this city offers along with lot of other things like cleanliness, food, connectivity and self disciplined citizen makes this city undoubtedly my favorite. I am sure by now you would also agree with me….
